1976 BMW 2002

This 1976 BMW 2002 was originally sold September 20, 1976 by H & E German Car Sales of Palo Alto, California, to a Stanford University professor, who kept the car for the next 25 years. The car remained in the Palo Alto area until 2005, when it came to Texas, where it has resided since. Finished in its original Sahara tan color, this 2002 is a very well preserved survivor. As a California/Texas car all its life, it has never been rusted, and appears to retain all its original body panels. Even underneath, this car is remarkably clean and unmolested. Mechanically, it is in superb order, having received a Korman stage 1 engine and rebuilt transmission approximately 25k miles ago. Vintage A/C was recently installed, making this a 2002 that you can truly drive anywhere. The interior is in very good, largely original condition. The dash is crack-free. Door panels are excellent. The original carpets show some sun fading, but are otherwise in good condition. Seats and headliner are in very good condition as well. Documentation includes original owners manuals with service book stamped by original selling dealer through 75k miles, original California blue/gold license plate, receipts for Korman engine/transmission, and more.
